Three people feared died in Mujanaheri, Malindi over sand harvesting land.

In Malindi, Kilifi county, people from  Garithe and Mujanaheri villages fought over quarry allocation. People engaged in blood fight rendering three people dead. Hundreds of houses were set on fire.


The residents of the specified places started a fight following sand harvesting lands. The lands which are located just 10 KM from Malindi town are known to the source of building sand that is used in Mombasa, Malindi, Kilifi and other towns in Kilifi.


The owners of the sand mines in the community land started to a war of words letter grudge which ended up a community war. The dead people were taking to the Malindi Mortuary and the injured to Malindi General Hospital.
